Criminal Justice Professor, 05/2015 to 07/2015
Humphreys College – Stockton, CA
When Heald College closed with no warning, one week into a new quarter, I worked to find a place for my students to complete the quarter and continue their education. Dr. Humphrey graciously welcomed my students and me to his school. He waived all fees for the students and allowed me to continue the courses as I has them set up at Heald. It was a seamless transition for my students who continue to thrive and progress past their Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree and head on to their Master's Degree. At the end of the quarter I choose to take a break from working in order to complete my Master's Degree with AMU. While Humphreys has offered me a classroom teaching position, I feel on-line teaching is best for me now.

Alpine County Sheriff's Department – Markleeville, CA
For ten years, I worked with the Alpine County Sheriff's Department on a volunteer basis. Through my time with Alpine County, I was involved extensively with K9 narcotic training, patrol and qualification. I maintained a concealed weapons permit during my years of volunteering. Gained experience in body recovery, autopsy viewing and recording, evidence collection and processing, proper chain of evidence, chain of command, investigative techniques, undercover narcotics work and report writing. I have experience in advanced firearms training, search and rescue (helicopter, snowmobile, horse, hiking and command center protocol), narcotics, K( narcotics, and narcotics handling and processing. Was allowed to work undercover in operations targeting perpetrators of narcotics crimes. I am grateful for the opportunities and learning experience I had while volunteering with Alpine County.
