Supervises the operation and maintenance of the Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar (C-RAM) system and associated equipment while on duty in the Base Defense Operation Cell (BDOC). Supervise two C-RAM operators and is responsible for the following; the monitoring of the Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) for indirect fires (IDF) directed towards the Forward Operation Base (FOB). Facilitate Team Lead with manning schedule and informs Team Lead of future personnel shortages that may impact the FOB. Responsible for the morale, health, welfare and professional development of thirty one soldiers and their families; responsible for the training of six personnel on the Command Post Operations, planned and executed all training for one hundred and eighty soldiers at a unit level, responsible for all records for the unit. Designed, implemented, and managed numerous training programs; conducted seminars and briefing sessions; Developed, initiated, and evaluated new procedures, policies, and internal controls; assessed and resolved complex operational problems; Worked closely with senior-level management in long-term strategic planning; Planned and coordinated individual training program for a 130 person Air Defense Battery; conducted weekly training quality inspections on selected units.
Served as the Sense and Warn Section Sergeant for a Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar Battery engaged in combat operations in support of a Forward Operating Base; responsible for the health, welfare and training of three Noncommissioned Officers and four soldiers; provided command and control within the Base Defense Operations Center through the use of AMDWS, WAVES, RAID, AFTADS and LCMR systems; evaluated the threat course of action and provided pattern analysis data on the CRAM employment to the supported Forward
Operating Base Commander; responsible for implementing new radar coverage allowing for optimal reaction time. Worked closely with senior-level management in long-term strategic planning; Enforced, tracked and insured compliance with all organization policies and procedures.
Served as an Avenger Section Sergeant committed to the defense of key assets of 32nd AAMDC; responsible for the maintenance and accountability of three Avenger Weapon Systems and ancillary equipment valued in excess of four million dollars; responsible for the leadership, training, discipline, moral, safety and professional
development of three Noncommissioned Officers and three soldiers; assisted the Platoon Leader in the planning of training and missions.
