I am the Correspondent Banking Sales Officer (Vice President) for United Bankers' Bank based in Bloomington MN. I handle the territories of South Dakota and North Dakota. In South Dakota 82% percent of the banks are my clients and in North Dakota 64% of the banks are my clients. I sell the following products to banks: clearings, cash letter, sweep account, ACH and wire capabilities, FedFunds (Investing and borrowing). I also refer banks to our investment and lending departments (purchasing and selling loans).

Last year I was the top performer amongst my peers and sold the most products and brought more new relationships than anyone in my department. In my 8 years with the bank I have been promoted to AVP and then VP. My background in cash management enhances the service I provide to banks.

One of the highlights during my tenure with UBB was helping a North Dakota prospect bank recover $64,000.00 loss from fraudulent checks. I have to say I never thought I would use my spanish in the upper Midwest but there were 2 banks in Latin American countries involved and all seemed lost. The Fed could not help this bank and neither could their correspondent bank. I was just making a call on this bank when they told me the problem. I got on the phone with the banks in Latin America and was able to get the funds back within 2 days. This is not part of my job but my bank felt so appreciative about what I had done that they ran a story about it on our quarterly newletter. The prospect is now our client.
