I am currently a Peace Officer with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at the rank of Correctional Sergeant. I have been with the Department for 5 years and 7 months with 3 years and 9 months being a supervisor. I have 3 years and 5 months of being an operator on the Departments' SWAT team. I am also certified in hostage/crisis negotiations. I have assisted in several mutual aid call outs with the San Luis Obispo Police Department, Paso Robles Police Department, and the Fresno Parole Unit to list a few. My training and experience has conditioned me to handle high-stress situations in a calm and rational manner. My experience inside of the prison along with out in the community has made me a great communicator given me the ability to make sound decisions and deescalate individuals under influence of controlled substances and mental illness.
As a member of California Men's Colony's CRT Team, I have had the following experience:
-Mutual aid with Fresno Parole office, and my team was assigned 12 houses to clear for high-risk parolees with warrants.
-Work alongside San Luis Obispo Police Officers during events such as the Women's Marches and the BLM protests.
-Mutual aid with Paso Robles Probation, completing probation compliance checks.
-Respond to assist in the Paso Active Shooter incident in 2020.
-Provide security for many events alongside Cal Poly Police Department.
-Graduated from 120 hour Post certified Operator 1 course in February of 2018.
-Graduated from 120 hour Post certified Operator 2 course in October of 2018.
-Graduated from 120 hour Post Certified Hostage/Crisis negotiations course in November of 2019.
