Correctional Officer at High Desert State Prison for about 15 years, and recently promoted to Correctional Sergeant at C.C.C. for the past 7 months. I am a good communicator with both staff and inmates. I feel I am a very good problem solver and can make good decisions that follow policy and procedure.
While at High Desert State Prison I was a Rangemaster and chemical agents instructor. I was also named employee of the month twice. In September 2013 I was promoted to Correctional Sergeant at C.C.C.
Safety and security of the public and institution. Train and educate subordinate staff in policy and procedure. I have worked several different positions as a Correctional Sergeant on all watches. I have worked program and yards, watch office, vocational and education sergeant, and administrative segregation. During this time I have learned how to use Telestaff, SOMS, ERMS, and DIRS computer programs. I have also learned how to review CDCR 115's and have become a better judge at what they look for in reports from Use of Force Committee.

I worked such jobs as control booth officer, building floor officer, search and escort officer, yard officer, dispo officer, construction escort officer, and medical escort officer. I have also worked with all different levels of inmates. I have worked from level 4 to level 1, administrative segregation, reception center, and SNY.
