  • As a correctional officer my duties were to maintain the safety and security of the inmates and the facility by conducting security counts of the inmates, perimeter checks, random cell searches and UA's.
  • Upon becoming a Unit Counselor the duties changed to helping inmates find jobs within the facility, attend school as required per the state, maintain pre-parole plans and assist in the needs of the inmates and concerns that any staff have.
  • I also conducted rounds with the Warden within the unit and attended weekly staff meeting to address any concern in the facility.
