I have extensive experience in management areas from being a State Correctional Officer and a Foreman and I carry a CDL. I'm looking for a job where my skills can and will be an asset to your company. I'm a hard worker, who shows up on time, and knows how to use his time wisely to accomplish the task at hand. I'm looking for a job that can get me closer to my family. I currently work 2.5 hours away from my family and 2 hours from my current job. Although, I enjoy my current position my family is more important.
I have 4 to 5 offenders who drive and transport materials to other units across the state. At all times I have to keep account of the offenders while outside the prison and ensure they are not breaking Texas State Transportation Code while driving.
I teach the offenders to fill out paperwork for all the transports as well as teaching them good driving habits.
In the Connelly Unit (maxim security) I was responsible for over 148 offenders per shift. Conducted escorts of the offenders to the shower, or recreation, write reports when prison policy was violated, conducted head count every hour to ensure offenders were accounted for and safe in the cells.
Started as a helper and quickly moved to Foreman. As the Foreman I would oversee 15 crew men, ensuring jobs were completed on time and were completed safely. I would read plans, ordered material's, and do take offs to complete the project. I was the overseer for picking up materials from supply companies to ensure all projects were on schedule. I would do welding jobs for the company which could consist of HVAC jobs (stainless steel to black iron).
