Assist surgeon and O.R staff with closing surgery duties. Team with OR staff to dress patient in compression garments while anaesthetized. Transfer patient to PACU unit, then to 2nd stage recovery.
Post operative care instructions, educate caregiver how to properly care for drains, pain pumps, dressings and record medication/drain logs.
Track and review documents from OR, anesthesia, PACU, and recovery to ensure all records are completed and signed.
