  • Restructured Field Operations Team: Upon my arrival I discovered that leadership at every level was loosely defined. Leadership within the salon and the field lacked clear goals, accountability and structure. The culture of the company was that of "manager/task master" not "leader/people developer". Through the use of programs designed using "The Five Levels of Leadership", by John C. Maxwell and "Start with Why", by Simon Sinek, a new vision for salon managers, Senior Managers and Corporate team was successfully executed.
  • The company lacked a leadership level whose primary focus was developing leaders and driving teams. Worked with Director of HR and CFO to design job descriptions and determine budget to best create a General Manager position within the company. This initiative was successfully rolled out on Jan 1, 2015 with six internal General Managers assuming newly defined, elevated roles. Identified a highly talented, under-utilized leader within our organization. She was a Senior Level field manager (loosely defined). She has been promoted to Director of Operations and is now the leader of the GM team. Although this restructure is in its infancy, the culture shift from manager to leader made under my leadership in 2014 is making a difference within the salons. One of the indicators of this early success is salon level employee retention which has improved by 30%
  • Collaborated with CFO to design and implement new system wide pay plan. This new plan has been positively received by all team members resulting in increase of applications by 20% and improved retention of 30%
