Research and Development
Responsible for developing strategies for the pursuit and procurement of projects throughout the greater Mid-Atlantic region. Review project plans and specifications, identify major issues and concerns on a project in regards to risk, work with operations to develop a project plan and coordinate that with the bidding process and create project budgets.
Project Manager - Preconstruction Services
Managed a $15 million dollar 6 month interior renovation of an existing 3 story 125,000 SF office building. In addition, $6 million dollars of change orders were issued half way through the project which were completed in sequence with the original schedule. Change orders were completed with little to no impact to project completion or the Owner's move in schedule.
Daily activities include drafting subcontract scopes, solicitation of subcontractor pricing, issuing subcontracts or purchase orders and monitoring materials and installation schedules.
Acted as Clark's representative to the Owner for day to day activities, lead weekly job progress meetings, prepare and submit Owner payment applications, prepare and negotiate change orders with the Owner and subcontractors.
Assisted the project manager in project set up, submittal and RFI management and project LEED submission.
Start up of the project included preparation of subcontracts, set up of material and submittal tracking systems and documentation of project meetings.
Acted as the main point of contact for submittals and RFI's. Process included from subcontractor to Clark, Clark to the Owner and from the Owner back to the subcontractor to ensure that the process was completed in a timely fashion and incorporated into the on going work without any impact to the project schedule.
Served on the Mid-Atlantic and National Bid Teams (Estimating) from May 2006 through February 2008.
