My most heart warming accomplishment is working for the Senior Center on Hospital Drive in Douglasville for over 8 years. In that time I produced Mother's Day parties, Father's Day parties, and Christmas Parties which was the highlight of our year. My job got involved and allowed me to move the group to our large cafeteria area where we served them lunch, entertained them and showed them a glorious time.

  • Supervised team of 25 staff members to serve food and drink throughout the morning.
  • Achieved maximum results by completing service to every senior in attendance with accuracy, efficiency and a smile.
  • Our local newspaper came and documented our events, many of our management level executives also came and participated.

Stabilizer Ball Instructor, 01/2011 - 01/2020
Body By U Fitness City, STATE,

Developed a large ball class for many of my members who suffered from back and hip issues. This class allowed me to bring more therapy into each session by improving students balance using a tool that challenges their stability. Besides developing good overall muscle tone for their entire body, the ball provided numerous other benefits that range anywhere from rehabilitating back, hip, and knee injuries to delivering a powerful workout to improve core stability, posture, and muscle balance. Improving their flexibility and cardiovascular system was an added benefit. This class was successful in bringing these students back to a regular workout quickly and affectively.

Sit & Get Fit Senior Chair Class, 01/2009 - 01/2017
Body By U Fitness City, STATE,

For seniors, core strength is critical for posture, injury prevention, and longevity. This class allowed seniors to participate in an exercise class designed for their needs. In this class core muscle support for their whole body were used by lifting, walking, and stair climbing. Knee lifts as a progressive exercise helped members to regain control of their limbs and stabilize walking and standing. The single-sided nature of these movements encourages improvement in balance and helps create low abdominal strength. Core strength for seniors is critical for posture, injury prevention, and longevity. Keeping this part of their bodies strong is essential. For older adults, regular physical activity is one of the most important things we can offer to sustain their life and guarantee quality living. It can prevent many of the health problems that seem to come with aging. It also helps their muscles grow stronger so they can keep doing day-to-day activities without becoming dependent on others. This class was very successful among our senior facility users.
