Canvasser Voter Registrar resume example

I canvassed potential voters for the 2016 election in an outgoing and helpful way. I approached as many people as I could. I was very careful with helping registers fill out important documents I was responsible for in the correct way. I worked for hours in the summer sun on Santa Fe College's campus, as well as the University of Florida's campus. I also worked in a mall kiosk in Oaks Mall waving down as many people as I could to sign-up to vote. Another location I worked in was Depot Park. Depot Park was full of busy parents focused on their kids. I was always focused on doing my job while being respectful of their time. Working a job that deals with politics I learned to be polite and tactful with people who expressed very strong views could regarding the U.S. 2016 presidential election and politics in general. I understood approaching people for to sign-up to vote would seem motivated toward one party or candidate. I always assured potential voters the organization I worked for was non-partisan and I chose not to talk about politics. Nonetheless I was as open as I could reasonably be. I always held the clipboard I was filling the paperwork out on to registers to show exactly what I was doing. I provided as much information as I could regarding how our office sent in the voter registration forms as well as the group I worked for. Also, I approached as many people as I could it was common I dealt with annoyed customers and I understand some people have bad days and I never took offense if a customer was rude. I was determined, motivated, and eager to show I was a good employee.    

 I worked overtime calling registered voters to confirm they were the ones who signed up to vote. I answered any questions they had if they were concerned their voter registration cards hadn't arrived or if they hadn't within 10-14 days.
