Started out as a summer helper my junior year in high school at Lincoln Plaza, Downtown Dallas. My initial job was cleaning of vacant and construction suites. Would also assist the day porter when needed of any additional cleaning of the building's inside and perimeter.
Had the opportunity to continue to work with the company part-time during the school year my last two years of high school.
My main role was to shadow the building engineer's and become more familiar with the building's day to day maintenance operation, assist with small plumbing, lighting, and temperature calls.
After graduating high school in 1992, I was given the opportunity of a full-time position as an Assistant Engineer while attending North Lake College part-time completing courses to receive certificates of completion in HVAC followed by Electrical.
In 1993 the company allowed me to transfer to another one of their building in Las Colinas, TX- Computer Associates Tower in an effort to further develop my skills by taking on more responsibilities in a smaller environment.
March 1999 after working at Computer Associates Tower for almost six years owners sold property and I had the opportunity to return back to Lincoln Plaza as the Start-up Engineer.
Was responsible to ensure that all equipment was up and running properly for the start of the work day when tenants arrived. Also, responded to tenant request or worked on special projects.
