In 1994 I was hired to help start a Breast Care Service at Kaiser Martinez. I was an active member of the Breast Care Working Group Lead by Radiologist Martin Portnoff ,MD and Judy Lively,MD.
Approximately 1997 our service was moved to Walnut Creek Surgery Department. Here I continued to see patients referred for any type of breast problem. Using breast US and numerous manner of providing biopsy or aspiration, ordering appropriate tests, removing surgical drains, post op breast care teaching and follow up exams.
Mentored residents from HIghland General Hospital in the evaluation and work up of breast problems.
Numerous teaching and presenting opportunities to clinicians and for the general public.
2000 Presented with a Certificate of Appreciated in recognition for my leadership in Breast Health and speaking during a Kaiser Permanene and KBLX awareness month event.
