Provide prompt, courteous service to members. This includes greeting all members with eye contact and a smile during each transaction, thanking every member by name and the end of each transaction, and maintaining confidentiality concerning member account.
Maintain a working knowledge of all TBCU products, policies, procedures, and promotions. This includes the meaning of credit unions and organizational philosophy, values, and mission statement.
Assist members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services, resolve member problems, refer problems that are beyond their authority to a manager.
Correspond with or interview loan applicants, prepare necessary documents for approval, review loans for proper insurance on collateral, process approved loan documents, and disburse loans, ensuring that they are in compliance with credit union requirements.
Provide credit counseling to members and suggest actions to improve their credit score.
Process teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc. Keep cash box secure at all times. Examine checks carefully for completeness and proper endorsement. Validate identification and membership during each transaction.
Actively promote and sell credit union products and services by recognizing member needs and matching services and products according to needs.
Prepare, process, and close home equity loans according to credit union policy.
Sell various merchandise items such as money orders and official checks.
Back up Tellers and FSRs when needed
Respond to all inquiries, complaints, and questions from callers in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain confidentiality concerning member accounts and credit union business.
Maintain extensive knowledge of all credit union services and products to the extent that you are able to answer all member questions. This includes marketing promotions, membership eligibility, loan servicing, accounting inquiries, rates, etc.
Research member accounts as needed and follow-up with members in a timely manner.
Process loan applications and advise members of documents needed for closing and loan status.
Actively promote and sell credit union products and services by recognizing member needs and matching services and products according to needs. Maintain proper documentation for tracking.
Participates in the Performance Reward Program in which minimum job expectations must be met as a requirement of the position.
Review and maintain various Credit/Debit Card Reports. Reports include Payment Check Holds, Case Tracker Reports, Credit Card Losses, Export Credit/Debit Card Files, Rewards reports, etc.
Assist with processing Credit/Debit Card requests by following proper procedures. This includes the processing of the following: New Cards, Reissues, Limit Increases, Balance Transfers, ACH Auto Pay, Deceased Accounts, address changes, etc.
Assist with processing incoming credit card increases received from marketing solicitations.
Assist with 2nd verifications on all card maintenance performed in card processing system.
Assist with responding to employee requests. This includes responding to daily phone calls/emails, answering routine questions (adding travel notes, closing a card, why card is blocked, confirming fraud, open countries for access, reviewing denials or activity, reversing payments, reviewing balances, providing case tracker information, linking cards, refunding late fees, etc.)
Assist with the debit card disputes process. This includes contacting members for the dispute interview, filing of forms, posting provisional credit and submitting forms to our card processing provider. Assist in sending correspondence to members affected in compromised card files
