•In this position I worked in many roles, I started as receptionist and worked at the front desk for a year. I then moved to the billing department when a position became available. I started in collections which entailed collecting patient payments, explaining patient invoices such as deductibles, coinsurance and patient responsibilities which I did for a year and half. In this position I also would check bank statements for patient payments and do bank transfers from the billing company to the clients. I then moved up to the claim specialist position, doing trouble shooting for why insurance is denying a claim, and tried to resolve the issue and receive payments. From this position I also entered in charges and submitted claims to insurance carriers which we do by fax, emailing or mail.
