This position requires ongoing patient assessment and intervention. I am involved in administering medication, communicating with family and physicians, and continuous patient monitoring.
● Caring for critically injured trauma patients (MVA, falls, gunshots, traumatic head injuries, neurological insults), various neurological disorders (strokes, aneurysms, vascular malformations, post angio therapy, post tPa treatment, and Spinal Cord injuries).
● Performing complex assessment and intervention; monitoring vital signs, initiating corrective actions; monitoring and caring for patients on ventilators, and other life-saving equipment ( cardiac monitoring, arterial line, and EVD); providing advanced life support, treating wounds, controlling infection, monitoring MAP and BP. Reviewing diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers.
● Collaborating and assisting physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures including life-saving situations. Providing education, information and immense comfort, mental and physical support to patients and their families.
This position required daily patients' assessment, vital signs, medication administration, initiate a plan of care , document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
This position required assessing patients physical, psychological, social, educational, cultural and discharge planning needs.Review patient history and physical with patient/family and assure completion. Review diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician. Formulate, initiate, and implement a plan of care based on patient specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care, through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revise the plan of care as needed.
