  • Women's Amateur champions Beatrix Hoyt (1896, 1897, 1898), Frances Griscom (1900), and Thomasville native Mary Lena Faulk (1953) were all members of Glen Arven
  • The club has hosted many important golf championships over the years including three Georgia Women's Amateurs and one Georgia Men's Amateur
  • It was on the 18th hole of Glen Arven in 1956 that then president Dwight D. Eisenhower deemed himself fit enough to run for another term as President of the United States
