  • Help to develop student financial services policy, procedures, and strategy within a student-centered service delivery model.
  • Administer all Federal Title IV student assistance programs in compliance with current federal regulations. Administer all state of South Carolina assistance programs in accordance with the regulations governing those programs. Process scholarships from outside sources and assist with administering Converse College endowed scholarships according to institutional policies and donor preferences. Update information on programs for the State Approving Agency for Veterans Affairs.
  • Oversee all student billing functions including billing, student collections, customer service, system administration, cash receipts, adjusting student accounts and human resource management. Ensure timely billing, receipt posting and refund processing according to Title IV guidelines.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and work with the Student Billing Coordinator to endure accuracy of student account balances, send out reminders for unpaid amounts and work to collect on past due balances (including working with a third party collection service provider).
  • Advise senior administrators in formulating, interpreting, and implementing financial policies and strategies to ensure access, affordability, and student success and has the ultimate responsibility for accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of annual financial aid and student billing services to all traditional undergraduate, Converse II and graduate students while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as institutional policies.
  • Develop packaging strategies to optimize enrollment while controlling the institutional discount according to approved institutional guidelines.
  • Supervise the staff of the Financial Planning and Student Billing Office, both full-time professionals and support staff.
