Artistic: work with the artistic team to plan and implement a nine-play season of productions. Create themed programming that connects to the work on our stages and deepens audience engagement. Establish relationships with playwrights, directors, actors, designers, agents, publishers, and authors. Maintain the artistic integrity of productions through the run of the show. create partnerships with civic and cultural organizations to help elevate the work on our stages.
Marketing and Communications: collaborate with the marketing team and press team on creating press releases, language, themes, blurbs, and images for the Steppenwolf season and for Steppenwolf for Young Adults productions. Work with the creative director on video production content for trailers to market our productions.
Audience Engagement: Establish and facilitate post-show discussions for our audiences. Collaborated with the front of house team leaders, on all content of plays for patrons. Supported all accessibility programs and communicated these programs to directors and actors.
Finances: oversaw and managed all educational and production budgets for Steppenwolf for Young adults from 2001-2017.
Development/Fundraising: lead communication about programming to Foundations, Corporations, individual donors, and government agencies to raise awareness and funds for Steppenwolf Education. Artistic: Oversaw all artistic programming for the summer theatre festival which showcased eight different Chicago Theater Companies remounting full-scale productions over the span of eight weeks.
