Mig and Tig welded customer specific jobs. These jobs ranged from new and old clients. From small parts to large robotic welding cabinets. We did military contract work as well as custom jobs for major theme parks and special events.
Mig welded computer cabinets For high powered computers to be stored while in use in major businesses. Metal thickness was less than 1/16''.
Tig and Mig welded, as well as fabricated on primarily International semi trucks coming from the plant from NaviStar. This trucks were ordered through NaviStar and then sent to us for specific custom jobs to be done to them such as, shortening/extending wheelbase, chopping the roof off for car haulers, converting to four door, and frame alterations. We also did prototypes for passenger side standing cabs for garbage trucks.
Mig welded exhaust systems for Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler. Metal thickness ranged from 1/16'' to 1/8''. Used a rollover machine primarily to get the tubular steel welded in a single pass to increase productivity. The job ran for quantity. High rate production welding.
Mig welded fuel guards for buses and semi trucks. Metal ranged from 1/8'' sheet to 1/4'' thick square stock.
Spent a lot of elective time in the shop learning different welding techniques and capabilities.
Took one semester, then due to life changing events I began looking for a full time employment.
