  • Responsible for single-family housing loan/grant-making and loan/grant servicing for programs administered by the agency.
  • Review and analyze loan and grant applications, pre-applications and all supporting documents for completeness and conformance with RD statutory regulations, policies, procedures and practices and inputs data into appropriate automated database systems.

  • Conduct Rural Housing inspection on existing properties for purchase through the 502 and 504 Rural Housing Program. This inspection includes make sure property meets HUD minimum standards which includes structural soundness, plumbing system, heating and cooling system, thermal requirements and the remaining life of existing roof.
  • Proficient with the RD Regulation 1924-A for construction.
  • Conduct Pre-Construction Conference which is vital for all parties.
  • Discuss all changes and make sure the contractor build the dwelling as specified on the plans.
  • Review cost estimate, loan estimate and construction cost estimate.
  • Receive and process applications for Guaranteed Rural Housing Loan and Single Family Housing Programs for rural residential homes.
  • Utilize entire loan and grant programs activities available to assist customers with their individual housing needs.
  • Conduct applicant interviews to review applications for eligibility and financial soundness.
  • Conduct credit analysis for borrowers and applicants on loan programs, eligibility, site development, land development, construction, zoning, and maintenance of homes.
  • Participate with the office staff in collection of accounts for first year borrowers.
  • Initiate action to graduate borrowers who are eligible for other credit sources.
  • Process and approve Self Help applications. This includes participating in Self Help quarterly meeting and meeting with Self-Help applicants.
