Spiritual development, worship, and Biblical education through five Bible Fellowship classes on Saturday evenings, during three services on Sundays, and through AWANA Special Edition on Wednesday evenings.  
Ministry to parents through support groups and one-on-one meetings.
Ministry to entire family through baseball and basketball special needs sports activities.
Recruiting, training and providing spiritual development for 75 to 100 volunteers.
Interviewing, hiring, training, and providing spiritual development for 12-15 part-time staff.
Planning and writing curriculum.
Planning and coordinating special events such as Vacation Bible School, monthly respite and the annual Christmas banquet for 400 people.
08/2000 to 08/2010 Executive Director Children's Special Needs Network | City, STATE,

Developed this nonprofit (that provides support services to children with chronic illnesses and disabilities and their families) from a primarily volunteer-run entity that provided very few services to an organization that provides the following services:

  • An annual conference with 40 breakout sessions on a variety of topics of interest to parents who have children with disabilities.
  • Recreational activities for families affected by disability.
  • Monthly respite in three cities.
  • Information and referral for this population.
  • A lending closet of donated medical equipment and supplies.

Successfully wrote grants that paid staff costs and provided funding to reimburse families for in-home respite, camp scholarships, medical equipment and supplies, doctor and therapy costs, and parent training.
Hired and trained staff and volunteers.
Provided numerous presentations for local civic organizations, churches, businesses and university classes.
Provided presentations during grand-rounds at the local regional hospital. 
Provided one-on-one training from pediatric residents.
Collaborated with numerous agencies, including the Aging and Disability Resource Center, the local Early Childhood Intervention, the Area Agency on Aging, the local MHMR, and the Independent Living Center to provide more and better services for families affected by disabilities in the area.
