Oversee the daily operation of a year-round Aquatic Facility, which includes a lap pool, lazy river, two-story water slide and zero depth entry area with a large play structure. The facility opened in April 2014. I hired and trained the opening staff, and purchased chemicals and equipment to be ready for opening day.
Responsibilities include:
-Coordinate the use of facility space with other department units in the building
-Develop and review marketing material with the marketing department
-Negotiate and oversee contracts and service agreements
-Utilize and track resources
-Assist with budget preparation
-Prepare required reports and documents
-Ensure incidents and accidents are accurately reported
-Develop, recommend, draft and enforce policies
-Ensure efficient and effective operation of facility
-Develop and implement lesson program
-Provide staff training to ensure excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Maintained the safety of swimmers while teaching four basic strokes, racing starts and turns.
Proved written program analysis, trained staff,
interviewed and made recommendation to Head Coach;
Responsibilities include:
-Submitting documentation for athletes competing in swim meets
-Conducting ongoing evaluations for new swimmers joining the team
-Maintaining communication orally and in writing with parents, Head Coach, and Board of Directors
-Acted as initial point of contact with the Aquatics Director for the YMCA at Hilltop
-Maintained monthly newsletter.
Enforced safety standards for programs and participants to maintain a safe environment,
competently answered program calls from the public;
accurately collected, compiled and assimilated reports, revenue forms and documents in a timely manner;
reported on and repaired assigned equipment and supplies in a timely and accurate manner,
effectively researched, recommended and implemented new ideas and resources for programs/activities;
followed established procedures when recommending hiring, disciplining, scheduling, and training of staff and volunteers.
