Enthusiastic Anesthesia Technician eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent communicational skills. Clear understanding of prioritization and responsiveness in an anesthesia department. Motivated to learn, grow and excel in the anesthesia field of the medical industry. Humble and compassionate employee of the surgical department having spent a good bit of time being the actual patient. Taken pride and am extremely grateful for the four years being able to help other people out in one of their greatest time of needs.
Since being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease back in 2010, I always thought I would never want to work in the medical field (I have seen enough doctors to last the rest of my life to be honest). Little did I know how great it was to be on the other side, helping someone else in what could be their biggest time of need for help in their life. I am grateful to have found a job in the anesthesia department back in 2017. This job finally showed me not only what I want to do with my life, but what I enjoy in life. I feel that being a patient for so long has taught me so extremely well how to be empathetic, sympathetic, positive, helpful in any way I possibly can be, and considerate of what others might be facing at any given time. Even though I do not have the 2 year certification for being an anesthesia technician, I feel like my 4-5 years of experience, willingness to ask questions, eagerness to learn more about the world of anesthesia in general, and my own personal medical history I would make a good candidate for the anesthesia technician position here at Vanderbilt. Thank you for your time and consideration.
