  • Responsible for providing IT/EMR training direction, organization, and management to PRMA Understand PRMA IT/EMR requirements to provide excellent customer service and proactively meet the training needs of all users in the practices.
  • Utilize NetLearning for planning, delivering and tracking end user training requirements Manage EMR training documentation development and implementation, utilizing Captivate, PDF Converter Professional.
  • Responsible for leading the regional team to meet the strategic and operational goals of the AHS-IS organization, including Meaningful Use Attestation, PQRS other clinical quality measures.
  • Provide EMR train-the-trainer, classroom and at the elbow training.
  • Dragon 360 Expert- responsible for implementation, training and support.
  • Required to travel to Florida/Texas to implement and deploy Nextgen and Dragon as needed by AHS-IS.

  • Work closely with CMO and Informatics Director to identify and resolve EMR issues including EMR documentation and development of documentation standards for EMR notes.
  • Manage a physician/nurse/HIM/pharmacy/lab committee to improve communication and workflow processes involving Cerner hospital wide.
  • Meet as necessary to update and present Cerner EMR recommendations to Specialty Care Committee and/or Medical Executive Committee.
  • Participate in departmental and facility leadership meetings as needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of clients' functional requirements and often suggest alternatives based on system limitations and abilities.
  • Relationships with top level hospital executives and key providers to facilitate collaboration and communication between providers/facilities and IS for enhancement request and roll-outs.
  • Recommends process efficiencies or alternative processes to meet business objectives.
  • Provide recommendations and work for improvement based on quality and meaningful use metrics.
  • Unique/Special skills Responsible for negotiating UpToDate contract for all CHS owned and managed facilities.
