Passionate for nursing and patient care.
Seeking an opportunity to learn, grow, and be a positive team member for the long haul.

Charge RN on a busy 40 bed Cardiac/Renal Med/Surg unit caring for up to 7 high acuity patients of my own and their families while assisting my RN's , LPN's, and CNA's with other patients needs. Most 12 hour shifts involve any average admission rate of 4-12 patients on any given shift, as I work night shift.
Independent worker, enjoy challenges, but will always ask questions when needed and seek guidance when needing help.
Value each team member as family at my current employer and firmly believe that each patient on my floor is everyone's responsibility, therefore call lights and patient care are done as needed even if the patient belongs to another nurse.
Firm believer that we must all work together for the greater good and safety of our patients and their families.
Charge duties include overseeing 5-6 other RN's and LPN's with 2-4 CNA's each shift.
Personal LPN to Dr. Martin Koehn MD, who is a family medicine physician who also specializes in hospice and long term care. As Dr. Koehn's nurse, I was responsible for greeting each patient, gathering health data, vital signs, preparing patients for in office procedures, administered ordered oral and injectable medications, performed ECG's, respiratory updrafts and any other assistance Dr. Koehn needed. I answered 80+ phone calls per day r/t his patients and supervised the medication room and vaccinations. I called out prescriptions, while also e-scribing (electronic) prescriptions as well, scheduled office appointments to referred specialists, dealt with obtaining Prior Authorizations from insurance companies for certain tests and medications, and reported lab results to patients while providing a caring, safe, environment for every patient we would see in clinic.
