Service Line Development: Developed the business plan and executed the implementation of a premier Procedural Sedation Unit at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, which served the needs of patients across all areas of the organization, helped sustain the organization's top national rank, and reduced the average patient length of stay.
Collaborated with hospital leadership in forming a Las Madrinas Donor funded centralized Children's Hospital Los Angeles Simulation Center, which will be used to reduce clinical errors through research, deliver mandatory clinical training, and be a hub for creating care protocols for deadly illnesses (i.e., Ebola).
Lead the recruitment of a Palliative Care Medical Director, which included large scale existing program expansion, development of a four-year strategic plan, a multi-million-dollar fundraising campaign, and a capital project to create a dedicated footprint for the service line.
This service line put Children's Hospital Los Angeles on the map for Pediatric Palliative Care on the West Coast.
Capital Project Management: Executed an Anesthesia Machine Fleet project involving business proposals, capital budgeting, vendor negotiations, and organizational-wide collaboration that resulted in the safer delivery of Anesthesia to patients.
Successfully transitioned the Department's of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine from an aging facility to a 10 billion dollar state of the art new hospital.
