As An Administrative Assistant:
As A Licensed Insurance Agent;
I was blessed enough to start this business from the ground-up in 2011 with my former in-laws who have over 40+ years of knowledge in the retail area. I learned the backside of having a business, while also running the retail store by myself. The experience I gained from opening this business is what shaped my ability to know how to work for the public under any circumstances, how to read customers and their needs to make sales, and how to establish a cliental and build upon that to grow a business.
I took night classes at Cisco Junior College while working a full-time job with a newborn baby. While I was not able to finish, I learned how to manage my time while taking care of an infant and working. That experience taught me many skills I still use today.
This was an online course that I took to obtain my insurance license.
I am a single mother of three children who i devote most of my time to. I am a pillar of my community where I'm always counted on to volunteer for various organizations and events. I served as the Elementary PTA President in 2015 and have served as a volunteer each year since. As President, I successfully put on a Fall Carnival for our community and raised over $2500 in one night for our Elementary Students. I volunteer each season to help coach my daughters in softball with the Little League Organization. I have served on the Chamber Of Commerce board, and successfully created a new organization alongside my husband in 2017 that was committed to making positive changes in and around our small town. We recruited over 20 other young adults that had a vision of where our community could go, and we brought fresh, new ideas that impressed the former leaders of Winters. One of our major projects was raising money to hire a professional artist to create a mural in our downtown area, which is located on a busy Texas highway. The mural was designed and created by a select group that I was a part of. It became a small town sensation that hundreds of families have taken photos in front of, like a landmark. Alumni who come back to visit their families make it a point to photograph their children and families in front of the mural before they leave. It's a destination we created just by wanting to beautify our town.
I understand hard-work, I'm driven, and I know how to create a solid foundation to build a successful business upon. I aim to be successful in all that I do so that I can teach my children that hard work pays off, and it's never too late to try something new. Thank you for your consideration.
