Dear Mrs. Erickson,
Please accept this letter as my two weeks’ notice of resignation. I am deeply saddened to have come to the decision to leave your employment. However, as I discussed with you earlier, there are some personal and potential career matters I simply must attend to at this time. Thus, my last day of employment as your family’s nanny will be Friday, October 3, 2014.
It would be my pleasure to assist you in finding a replacement child care provider for your beautiful children, and I am more than willing to help facilitate the transition by working with the new nanny to get to know the children. Please feel free to let me know if that is something you would like.
It has been an absolute joy and privilege to care for your kids over the last two years, and I thank you for allowing me the experience of aiding in their growth. Deciding to move was a very difficult decision, and I truly appreciate your support.
I wish you and your family nothing but the best in the future. I do hope I will be able to visit and continue to be involved in the children’s lives. I am grateful to have gained such wonderful experience. Thank you.
Yours,
Jessica Andrews
