Writing Your Skills Section
Listing skills on your resume gives the hiring manager or recruiter a chance to see your technical abilities at a moment’s glance. Keep in mind that if you’re called to interview, you’ll perform best if you have the chance to discuss the skills you’re strongest in and most comfortable talking about, so be sure to include these in your list. Follow these best practices to create a top-notch skills section:
• You may have many abilities, but try to limit your bullet points to the top five to seven that are most relevant to your industry and targeted role.
• Utilize the verbiage provided on the job description and connect those requirements to your skills.
• Keep each listed skill brief and to the point.

Writing Your Education Section
Your educational history gives employers a glimpse into the birth of your career along with an indication of your potential. Be sure to use these best practices to get off on the right foot.
• If you’ve attended a fair number of seminars and trainings, list the most recent one first
• Place your highest level of education on top if you have not attended recent seminars
• Don’t list your GPA unless you’re a recent graduate.
