As a CIT Leader, I:
Led the rising 10th grade age group for Camp All-American's "CIT" (Counselor-In-Training) program. This program is designed to foster a sense of personal responsibility and work ethic in high school students as well as to train them spiritually in their walk with Christ in order to prepare them to act as Counselors for Camp All-American Summer Camps in later years.
I made sure that all rising 10th grade students were working hard and safely accounted for throughout our daily activities. CITs were responsible for preparing and distributing all supplies for the entire camp's activities during the day. I coordinated and led the CITs in accomplishing their tasks.
I was in charge of assisting the CIT team in the spiritual development of all CITs. We did this through devotions, messages, prayer, debriefing activities, Bible Studies, service projects, service to the camp, and more.
I was the speaker one week for the camp, and I was in charge of presenting the Gospel over the week for about 400 5th and 6th grade students.
I participated in CORE Groups, which are a model for discipleship activities that both poured into us participants and taught us how to recreate the model for future discipleship opportunities.
I have received my Eagle Scout rank with the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scouts are trained in effective community service, leadership, and in keeping good and honorable character.
