ongoing workshops through AEA to further my teaching skills as a Water
I work hard to be a.compassionate Fitness Coach who understands issues with weight and self-esteem.I encourage students to love themselves by implementing healthy and safe workout plans. I am an instructor who leverages experience with a diverse client base to meet each client's unique needs .Because of my additional educational background, I am equipped with the motivational skills and technical training necessary to engage clients and achieve results.

1993-1999 Organized Water Aerobics Adult programs for specialized populations at the Contra Costa JCC and taught the classes, 1993-1999.
1996-2000 Recruited and taught students for California HIgh Water Aerobics program for the City of San Ramon.
1997-2004 Taught for the city of Danville 1997 to 2004 four classes a week , deep water mornings and evenings. My classes averaged 25 students per class.
1998-2000 Taught (PE) in the form of Water Aerobics at the Athenian School , Danville, from, coached High School students.
2000-2002 Organized Water Fitness classes and taught private and group classes for the Contra Costa YMCA.
2000-2004 Instructed older adult population at Crow Canyon Country Club, Danville three classes a week.
2005-2009 Taught Water Fitness classes to adult population at SARC in Sequim, Wa.
2009-2011 Taught Water Fitness classes to adult population for Club 1 at JCC,Walnut Creek, Ca.
As an instructor my goals included explaining ways to measure exercise intensity for the best results so my students would feel empowered in their own exercise program.
I designed each class to match the skill and learning levels of all participants and suggested exercise modifications to individual students to avoid strain and injury.Encouraged members to continue attending group fitness classes.
Before every class, I.prepared the teaching area for each class and returned all equipment to storage at the end of class.I tracked class attendance and monitored class size to evaluate the effectiveness of promotions. In addition, I set up equipment, tested the microphone and selected music prior to each class. I also recorded class numbers at the conclusion of each class. Students were always welcome
to stay after class with any questions they might have.
I am currently in Graduate School completing my MA degree in Education
