Experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and equipment maintenance.
After being a Lead for a year, I began fixing and repairing all mechanical equipment, the forklift, the conveyor belts, electrical outlets, radio systems, internet problems, computer issues, and now general grounds keeping, etc. They quickly realized the need for changing my position to a maintenance position (This company has gone 15+ years without maintaining any equipment). I am now working in a position where I am drastically underpaid while I am saving the company $1,000's of dollars per repair or maintenance work that I do. I am expected to create and adhere to a strict maintenance plan that (after months) I have developed from assessing the basic preliminary needs of Eldorado's equipment while assuring that the priority repairs are done first. I work directly with all departments of Eldorado via email/phone/in person communication to adjust maintenance needs according to whichever department's needs are greater. I am also in charge of ordering for the 70+ warehouse employees and the 25+ office employees. This ordering is in regard to all boxes and packaging material for packing, all shipping labels for shipping, all carts/bins for putaway/picking, and all labels for receivers. I also order all sanitation and bathroom supplies (This is an extremely difficult situation due to COVID-19). I also order and maintain all tools necessary for doing repairs, and all the lights/plumbing/electrical/wheels/etc for all maintenance. (This list of duties is far, far longer than what I can provide here, I will gladly elaborate).
Accomplished production goals by working with speed and accuracy. Inspected orders for accuracy by carefully reviewing containers, products, packaging and labeling. Inspected outgoing shipments to maintain effective quality assurance standards. Promoted workplace safety and production efficiency by keeping workspaces clean, organized and free of hazards. Organized daily plans to ensure all 16 packers met productivity levels. Created Plans of Action's for under-performing employee's. Created Employee Positivity Reviews for employees that were over-performing. This list is also very extensive, I will gladly elaborate.
Right out of high school, I got picked up by a family owned business called "Home Improvements" at 16$ an hour. They paid for entry classes for Home Maintenance and I was certified to do home electrical, home HVAC, home plumbing. Later, I was asked to create a Single-Member LLC in order to be bid on for jobs through Home Improvements. I was basically underpaid and used since I was just out of high school, but I also learned a large amount of what I use in my Warehouse Maintenance Technician job today.
Responsible for driving to client's home. Hear the client's problems. Diagnose problem, give quote. Once approved, gather material list and get materials. I would then fix the problem and then show the client and get the clients approval for completion. I would gather payment and deliver to my boss's home.
Due to COVID 19 and finacial reasons, I am not able to finish my degree after 2 years of study. Once I have a better career, I plan to finish my degree and further contribute to my career.
