Additional Information

Shark Research and Marine Education:

For the past three years I have been researching vision and the ocular anatomy of Lamnid sharks. I am working in conjunction with Dr. Greg Skomal, the University of Wisconsin, and UCDavis Veterinary School. Currently, I am finishing a research journal on Lamnid shark vision. Future research will continue in the months ahead. I have been involved in many research groups over the past 6 years including the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, Atlantic Shark Institute, and Sharks for Kids. A couple of years ago, I taught a 6 week Gills Club course to fifth and sixth grade girls educating them on shark biology and conservation. I am hoping to work with the state university in the future to initiate a shark conversation program.
