Additional Information

As an educator, wife, and mother of a two-year-old, I am able to balance a heavy workload. I am an extremely organized and type A person who likes to see a job well done and completed in the most practical and precise way. The work I do as an educator clearly shows the pride I have for my profession, however, over the years I have found a love of technical writing through my master's thesis and doctoral dissertation work. Since my marriage to a technical writer and have seen the positive impact on a company good writing accomplishes. I strive to do the best in all of my work and am currently on track to present my doctoral dissertation proposal this fall with completion in the spring. Over the years, I have built a strong leadership presence through my SCMMEA Treasurer position and while working as an educator. As a servant-leader, I see myself working with others in a positive way that would allow anyone who works with me or under me to rise to the position I am in, or beyond. I am a quick learner regarding technology and spend a great deal of time working to improve my technology skills and understanding. As I see the change occurring in education, I am even more motivated to use my talents and gifts to move into a position that would allow me to use my writing skills and pursue a different course of work that aligns with my beliefs and strengths.
