Division staff section responsible for the training, management, coordination, mission planning and movement of 25,000 Soldiers within six Brigades assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, TX.
- Managed personnel in excess of 250 people; monitored individual reviews / performance evaluations; processed financial records; planned / coordinated for individual performance schooling of personnel assigned; maximized time for training opportunities; monitored quarterly and semi-annual mandated training requirements to include, but not limited to, safety, security, and equal opportunity
- Served as a member of the Joint Acquisition Review Board and Joint Facilities Utilization Board; analyzed and validated ongoing DOD Contracts / Projects operating in Afghanistan; voting member responsible for minimizing operational expenditures; conducted cost benefit analysis; procured mission essential projects and contracts advantageous to the budget
- Knowledge Management Officer for the Division Operations Directorate charged with maintaining the integrity of the Microsoft Sharepoint; streamlined information sharing/management of orders and policies
- Fostered the collection of the Division's lessons learned while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; Analyzed and screened the proposed submissions in order to improve future techniques and procedures
- Performed initial assessments and repairs on all assigned Information Technology hardware; provided on site training to the user once issue was resolved; coordinated support for issues above access level
- Assisted in the creation of the Division's Campaign Plan that prioritized the cost, manning, equipping, and training priorities for the 25000 personnel unit over the next several years; planning team member during the quarterly and semi-annually assessment periods of the Campaign Plan
Brigade Plans Officer
February 2007 - August 2009
Staff member responsible for the planning, coordinating, training and the synchronization of 5 Battalions assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division consisting of 3500 Soldiers at Fort Hood, TX.
- Conceptualized and established the unit's Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) cycle which integrates and synchronizes the manning, equipping and training line of efforts for all assigned units in support of the higher headquarters mission; composed the gated training strategy responsible for certifying the brigade's deployability
- Provided mission planning guidance and direction; analyzed possible courses of action; created and briefed planning models used to assist the Command
- Directed the movement of personnel and equipment from Fort Hood to Afghanistan and its return; utilized transportation assets from freight movements, railway, air-loads, seaport movements, and commercial airlines
- Supervised Joint Data Link Operations controlling airspace in combat; strong understanding of airspace management; oversaw the operation of computers and communications utilized for command and control
- Organized and led the brigade planning teams; delegated the production of mission orders; planned and implemented emergency reaction protocols; created time sensitive marketing products in combat to support unit messages
- Member of the units Campaign Plan planning team prior to the deployment to Afghanistan; conducted quarterly assessments on the Campaign Plan during the deployment in order to provide the command with an accurate picture of the plans effectiveness
Air Defense Command & Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence Center Enhanced Operator/Maintainer

- Supervised 35 personnel, involving the mentoring, training, and conflict resolution
- Fielded, tested, installed and maintained the computers and communication equipment for the Army's first Air Defense Airspace Management (ADAM) Cell
- Managed equipment valued in excess of $5 million dollars
- Planned and supported the meeting time lines of Congressional Delegates and VIPs while touring the combat theater of operations
- System Matter Expert for all Computer Hardware System (CHS) charged with diagnosing and fixing all hardware and software issues
- Unit Master Driver charged with ensuring all drivers and passengers understood the Army Regulations and policies governing the operation and employment of Army vehicles; SME for vehicle training and safety compliance
