My first job was a cleaner/ front desk worker at a gym called Flex Fitness in Gray. I organized things when needed and kept things neat around the gym. I cleaned equipment by sanitizing and dusting. I answered phone calls and made deals with costumers and brought in money for he business. I also informed when something needed to be replaced/ restored. My goal there was to keep things in order and keep costumers happy with their surroundings. Since I worked there, I knew a good handful of people who workout and wanted some help. I was more than happy to give exercises to my friends and ones who were seeking for beginner help and ideas.

The second job I started got brought upon me while I was doing my rehab after my knee surgery. My physical therapist knew that my future dream career would be to be a Athletic Trainer one day. She figured being in this industry and getting this experience wold be very good for me, especially at the age of 18. Therefore, once I could walk after my surgery she asked if I would like to be apart of the staff as part time PT Tech until the other PT Tech left for college in the spring. Once the other PT Tech was getting ready to leave, I was asked to be full time and undergo training to be a PT Tech. Being apart of this has truly changed my prospective pf a lot. I've learned that being a PT tech or a PT it's not just about physical therapy all the time. These patients need someone to talk to sometimes because they have no one else. Being in this position you learn a lot about your patients other than just want injury or incident happened and why they're in the clinic. Other than learning and connecting with the patients, I make phones calls and schedule patients over the phone or while they're in for therapy. I also make heat packs and cold packs for patients once they're done with their treatment. I also have experience in taking needles out of of people after the dry needling treatment. I keep patients flowing through their exercises if the therapist gets caught up with someone or something. I help make patient care plans for treatment and try to keep everything organized. This job has also improved my communication skills and learn how to read people and understand how each person is different in their own ways.

My umpiring career started not too long ago. I have played softball for roughly 15 years and got a phone call wondering if I could coe out and help make calls. I figured it would be fun to see these girls play at such a young age, because I was in their shoes before and just played for fun. I have had to deal with very mouthy parents and short tempered coaches, but overall it has been worth the experience to understand what these upper level umpires may go through.
