  • Duties include: starting and discontinuing IV's, giving medications thru IV, blood administration, blood draws, sending blood and urine to lab for analysis, fetal monitoring continuous or intermittent, accu checks, monitoring of vital signs, intake and output monitoring, ADL's, teaching patient and family's of care of patient, insulin drips, magnesium administration, care of a patient in DKA, HELLP Syndrome, Vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, including assisted deliveries, emergency cesarean section deliveries, Post Partum Hemorrhage care and monitoring, fundal checks, Post op care of cesarean section patients, care and delivery of patients with fetal demise babies, Transferring patient to the Mother Baby Department after delivery and recovery and giving report to new nurse., Acute care facility I worked at this facility as a travel nurse in Labor and Delivery.
