Teacher Resume Example

I am currently a 5th grade teacher in BPS.  I have been teaching at The Edward Everett School since I began teaching in 1995.  I have been responsible for teaching Reading to both fifth grade classes since last year when we departmentalized at the Everett, teaching all other subjects (Writing, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Social Skills) except Mathematics for the last two years. I instructed up to 26 students individually and in small groups creating lesson plans and setting up materials to reach a diverse population of students.  I also observed and evaluated students' performance, behavior, social development and physical and mental health maintaining accurate and complete records for my students.  I create a classroom environment in which children could learn respect for themselves and others.

I also work closely with families and the staff to promote student achievement and academic success for students at the Everett.  I pursue professional development continually by attending school-wide and district professional development to keep up to date with new teaching methods and developments in education.
