Assist teachers in adhering to the North Carolina K12 Common Core Standards by leading small ELA/Math groups for students below level or at standard level, providing 1:1 student assistance in the comprehension of assignment fundamentals, identifying children in need of extra support for emotional, health-related or developmental concerns and report those concerns to the teacher and guidance counselor, being available to retrieve the necessary materials for teacher instruction and lead common core instruction for the entire class in the teacher's absence, controlling classroom environments by enforcing the outlined rules and positive reinforcement techniques, assisting in ensuring students adhere to class behavior and disciplinary protocols and leading virtual instruction sessions.
Manage, analyze, and input data electronically in the school's student information system as it relates to enrollments, withdrawals, demographic information, health and military alerts and attendance. Analyze and adjust data for monthly reports according to the standards of the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Reports include the Principals Monthly Reports (PMR), the System Activity Report (SAR), Class Size Reports and Discipline and Alternative Learning Reports. Confirm personal data, ensure the assignment of appropriate codes, ensure the completion of health assessments and immunizations, and assign and match student ID numbers. Assist in meeting parental and student needs and addressing parental concerns. Assist in all customer service efforts regarding system stakeholders and the community.
Oversee non-clinical operations of the facility to ensure consistency with Medicare regulations. Oversee the respite program in the facility. Educate the Volunteer Coordinator and volunteers regarding the respite service/program requirements in accordance with Medicare guidelines. Conduct 1:1 and group sessions to help volunteers in the areas of skill development, sensory stimulation techniques, documentation and effective visitation methods.
Educate family members regarding the respite service/program goals and requirements. Conduct 1:1 sessions to help family members understand program eligibility, benefits and payment guidelines.
Analyze patient eligibility, schedule family meetings for enrollment in the respite program, ensure satisfaction of patient/family respite needs, ensure adequate billing, collect service payments and managing refund processes. Design and maintain disaster plans, facility inspections, corrective action plans, cost savings reports and the community donation process. Secure and maintain relationships with supply and equipment vendors. Maintain budget restrictions and staff regulatory compliance, conduct staff meetings, design quality control and improvement initiatives and supervise secretarial technicians and dietary staff. Assist with staff scheduling and payroll.
Oversee the volunteer program at the Kate B. Reynolds inpatient facility and four major areas of Forsyth County. Responsible for the daily operation of the volunteer department according to Medicare regulations. Recruit, retain, train, screen, interview and supervise volunteers of the community for the hospice program. Educate adults, young adults and youth regarding the organization's mission, vision and services in accordance with Medicare guidelines. Education provided through group activities, case scenarios, 1:1 sessions and panel discussions to help students in the areas of skill development, documentation, regulatory standards, conflict management and resolution, peer assessments, teamwork, customer service protocol and boundaries.
Serve as the liaison between the volunteer department, families, the hospice staff and the general public. Assist with referral intake, assignment of volunteers to patient/families, volunteer-patient data compliance, monthly volunteer service reports and conducting presentations specific to the benefit and availability of hospice services.
Oversee homecare services in particular areas of Forsyth County. Ask probing questions to determine service needs and accurately input information into electronic systems. Perform scheduling, staffing, hiring, payroll processing and referral intake. Verify insurance eligibility, resolve client needs, orient new employees, maintain staff education, maintain personnel records, supervise staff, triage internal calls and ensure staff adherence to healthcare policy according to Medicaid guidelines.
