I was hired, with my two children at toddler age, to teach elementary public school to road workers children, 35 miles from the closest highway, up in the mountains with no telephone, and mail being delivered twice a week. was a given opportunity to work with God, and go to Him for wisdom.
My students had not been beyond a town of 10,000 population. The students and I earned money in order to visit Denver, Colorado for one week of educational experiences. Truly these two years were unforgettable.
Teaching on Native American reservation in NW British Columbia was more fun than challenging, even without electricity. The other student teacher and I collaborated on curriculum and lesson plans using primitive supplies in order to effectively teach church school, grades K4.
