My time currently spent at The Learning Experience is used serving as a teacher for the multiple age groups at the school. I provide the children with a safe and comfortable environment but also have them all on a consistent and strict schedule which is followed daily. The schedule starts with setting up classroom by putting chairs at the students tables and then cleaning the surface of every table, shelf and chair in my classroom. Once students are present in class I greet their parents and discuss any concerns or information they would like to share with me. Once drop off is completed I then move on to serving the children their breakfast. Once breakfast has been finished by the students I am on a rotating cycle of changing diapers and assisting children who are beginning to learn how to use the bathroom on their own. Afterwards the students will play outside if the weather is nice or play inside with their toys and each other if conditions outside were not up to par. Once the children's play time was over we would gather at the tables and begin teaching them the materials from their curriculum. The curriculum consisted of music such as singing about colors and shapes. Crafting was also included and would be used as teaching mediums to show the children how things like hand eye coordination, the concept of wind and weather change, and basic knowledge like numbers and the alphabet. Once these lessons and learning experiences were at their end we would prepare the children for lunch as well as nap time. Once they finished their meal and were placed on their sleeping mats for their naps I would use this time to clean and re-organize the room and prepare for the next days lesson. Their nap times consisted of up to 2 hours and once everyone was awake they would sit at the table for a snack and are read a story from the schools list of children's stories. Afterwards children would be able to play and spend their free time while supervised. Once all students have been picked up be their parents I clean the room for the last time and lock up the classroom.
My time spent at Sonic Drive-In consisted of tasks such as taking orders from customers and collecting payment when it came time to bring their food out to them or hand it to them through the drive-thru window. I would prepare their drinks and milkshakes and bagging their food for them. When not servicing customers I would work behind the scenes to ensure that our work space was clean and up to code as well as stocking any ingredients, condiments, and food containers needing to be updated.
During my time at Ta Lew I worked the position of waitress. My duties consisted of waiting out food to customers and providing them with the best customer service during each stay. I would clean their tables once the customer had finished their meal and clean the surrounding area so that the next diner would have the same level of quality service as the last. When not serving food to customers I would work as a hostess and assist customers to their seats and provide them with menu's and drinks for their stay at the restaurant. I handled customer check out and assisted them with getting the total for their meal and handling multiple forms of payment consistently. If I was not working the dining hall, I would be working in the kitchen doing food prep such as putting together any salads that were ordered and packing food together for customers coming in for pick up. At the beginning and end of each shift I would help clean and prepare for the start of the day by wiping tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping the floors as well as checking both the mens and women's restrooms for safe and sanitary conditions. It was my responsibility to restock any dining room, kitchen and bathroom supplies or notifying management when supplies were running low.
I worked as a Judge and Clerk for the voting department of Maricopa County. My duties in this position were to provide the voter with the correct ballot and verify the identities of each voter using the verification computer program provided by the county. I also assisted in the setup of voting booths as well as their disassembling at the end of each shift.
I advocated for the anti-bullying campaigns known as No Place For Hate and A World of Difference during my senior year of High School. We educated freshmen on the negatives of bullying and would complete exercises to build up the school community and encourage positive outreach.
