My name is Jessica Claire. I am a 44 year old mother of 2 and a current preschool teacher in Holden, Ma. I attended Worcester State University (WAY back when!) where I majored in Elementary Education and Psychology. After college, I was a Second Grade teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Clinton. Then I took a job as a Middle School/High School teacher, working for the Central Massachusetts Special Education Collaborative in Worcester, Ma. I left teaching when my children were born in 2004/2006. I stayed at home with my kids until they were both in middle school. During those years, I spent my days volunteering in their classrooms, was a PTO member, coached their youth Soccer Teams and Lacrosse Teams. I went back to work in 2017, initially as an assistant Preschool Teacher, but was then hired for the Lead Teacher position in the Spring of 2019. With all that has happened with Covid this year, the State's mandatory guidelines are making being a teacher in a preschool setting very difficult. With that, I am looking to find a job, still caring for children, but in a non-classroom setting. I am still a very, involved Mom. The hours/days I worked at the preschool, gave me the flexibility to pick them from school, be at their sporting events, only work during the school year, etc. So, I'm looking for a family that is a good fit for not only their family, but also for mine. I would love to find a family that would allow me to care for their children, but also allow me the flexibility to care for mine. (Take your children to my children's sporting events if need be or just for a ride in the car to pick them up from school, etc.) Or, find a family that needs me only in the school time hours/school year, say, 8:30-3:00, from late August-mid June.
