Professional Summary

I am a senior at Illinois State University who is about to get my degree in middle level education with endorsements in English Language Arts and Social Sciences in May 2022. I am currently student teaching in their professional developmental school (PDS). This means that I am student teaching for an entire school year rather than one semester. In doing this, I will have the experience that I want before my first year of teaching.

I am focused on being the type of caring teacher that is conscious of all of my students and their different abilities, disabilities, personalities, and interests. I will use this information to not only teach them effectively, but to also create relationships with each of my students because I believe that once relationships are created, everything else can fall into place. That being said, I am also very knowledgeable about social-emotional learning, adolescent development, and modernizing classrooms for the benefit of my students.
