  • Helps manage the US/CA import operations, including reviewing shipment data, resolving US Customs holds and addressing critical shipment/delays.
  • Validates HTS, COO, customs valuation, PGA requirements, special duties (S321, AD/CVD, etc.) for incoming non-production shipments.
  • Creates detailed SOP's for the Import Operations Manual, ATA Carnets, ACE internal and external audits, and Recordkeeping.
  • Worked closely with Global Logistics and Legal while leading the broker selection process to improve import performance and reduce cost.
  • Developed and implemented tracking systems for AD/CVD, PGA holds, and US Goods Returned for record retention while successfully reducing import clearance times and cost avoidance of $30k in duty.
  • Manages CTPAT and implemented risk assessment documents and trackers for the Global Supply Chain in collaboration with the Logistics, HR, IT, Facilitation, Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Created the ATA Carnet process to reduce global duty/tax spending by over $800k/ yr.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on ACE, AES filing, ATA Carnets, Chapter 98 and Routed Exports.
Trade Compliance Analyst - Export / National Instruments Corp. - Santa Clara, CA06/2016 - 04/2019
  • Primary point of contact for California branches while operating as one of the primary US Export Analysts for global orders through Oracle.
  • Created and managed annual training classes on international trade compliance to educate new hires and existing employees in California on risks and concerns related to the business.
