Staff Pharmacist: As the staff pharmacist at one of the busiest CVS pharmacies, I was responsible for accurately dispensing medications to the patient, checking for drug interation, patient consultation, interacting with other health professionals, and oversee daily pharmacy operation when the PIC is not there.
Selected Achievements:

- I cooperated with the corporate office and set up a contract with a doctor's office to enable the pharmacists at my store to write emergency contraceptive prescriptions to the patients under protocol

-I was the main immunizing pharmacist for the store. I initiated the Immunization program and started immunization clinics for my store
-I initiated and set up Emergency Contraception Program at this store .
Pharmacist-In-Charge: I was the pharmacist-in-charge of entire the pharmacy with a staff of 15.
-I recruited, hired and trained new staff. I prepared and assigned staff work schedules. I conducted regular, periodic staff evaluations.
-I monitored personnel utilization in compliance with operating and payroll budget. I ensured personnel compliance with federal and state laws / regulations, and company policies / procedures in pharmaceutical and operational practices, including dispensing, inventory storage and control, security and cash handling.
-I resolved all issues related to customer service and employee dissolution. I regularly developed services and innovative ideas for improving service quality and rapport with patients and health professionals.
Selected Achievements:
-I was responsible for setting up and preparing pharmacy in brand-new store - I established pharmacy layout, prepared inventory; fulfilled all licensing requirements, ensured full compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
-My pharmacy consistently exceeded all sales and prescription goals established by corporation. My pharmacy was awarded in February 2008 for achieving the second highest script growth in the entire Southern California during 2007.

Staff Pharmacist/Compliance Officer:
Staff Pharmacist: I filled prescriptions at this outpatient pharmacy inside White Memorial Medical center, averaging 3000+ scripts per week. I had contact with physicians and other health professionals. I constantly made recommendation regarding DURs and drug therapies.
Compliance Officer: I was assigned the role of Compliance Officer by the PIC to oversee and ensure quality assurance procedures are being implemented. Also I was to oversee that the proper procedures and steps of Medicare supplies billings are being carried out correctly. For the 12 months that I worked here, the PIC, the supervisors, and the owners of the pharmacy had informed me that the workflow improved dramatically because of me. For example, for the same number of scripts as before (or more), the wait time had decreased tremendously and there were hardly any customer complaints.
Pharmacist-In-Charge: Head pharmacist in charge of day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
Selected Achievements:
-Ever since I took over the PIC position, the prescription volume has almost doubled in prescription volume, from average of 100 to almost 200 per day, while cutting the staff from 2 technicians to just 1 technician.
-I single-handedly set up new accounts for 5 Boarding Homes. This entailed writing up new contracts, setting up computer software, and training for myself and my staff.
-I am a certified MTM pharmacist. I started MTM (Medication Therapy Management) and CMR (Comprehensive Medication Review) programs as soon as I took over the PIC position. The two programs I have been actively participating are Mirixa and Outcomes MTM. Through these programs, I have improved medication compliance for our patients and improved our pharmacy EQUIPP scores. Currently all the measures that impact our STAR rating are at 95 percentile. I enjoy participating in these programs because they are not only beneficial to the patients' overall health but the higher score also improves reimbursement rate for the pharmacy.
-I have my own NPI number. I am certified to prescribe Naloxone for eligible patients.
-In addition to managing day-to-day operation of the pharmacy, I am also familiar with audits from PBMs and Board of Pharmacy.
-I am currently also the preceptor for USC School of Pharmacy and Western University School of Pharmacy students as part of their Community Rotation
