07/2017 to Current Sr. Principal Failure Analysis Engineer/Manager of Failure Analysis II-VI Incorporated | City, STATE,
  • Established materials characterization laboratory for II-VI’s 3D sensing (VCSEL epitaxy) and high-power electronics business to reduce and eliminate external vendor expenditure, procure and qualify equipment, collaborate with vendors, hire personnel and supervise operations.
  • Currently managing an 8-member team of engineers and technicians, which provides III-V (GaAs, GaN, InP) and other materials (SiC) characterization support to global production and R&D.
  • Led a 10+ person team of executives, managers and individual contributors to bring precision-characterization in-house.
  • Initiated an internal monitoring system on laboratory operations and status updates for global production & R&D.
  • Successfully led a ~20-person team at the executive level for a ~ $5 million business case to expand laboratory into a global analytical hub, with the potential to support all of II-VI’s business units and external suppliers.
  • Traveled to various II-VI business units (domestic and international) to facilitate influx of material, understand engineering needs and discuss standards for II-VI R&D.
