Pinole Valley High Schools person of contact for Families in Transition (F.I.T). Duties include, but not limited to: contacting and enrolling families of children who are either homeless, foster youth, runaway, and unaccompanied youth, monthly check-ins, and providing necessary transportation, stationery, hygiene materials.
Active member of the Coordination of Services Team (C.O.S.T). Duties include, but not limited to: providing services to students in crisis, reviewing applications and qualifying information on students in need of SST's, 504 Plans, IEP meetings, and our at-risk demographic.
Advocate for the African American Site Advisory Team(AASAT). Duties include, but not limited to: providing the parents of African American students information on the school or site events, facilitating monthly meetings, and contacting parents with updated team information.
Affiliate of the Rising Scholars Senior Cohort. Duties include: contacting parents with updated meeting information, distributing curriculum, weekly check-ins with Rising Scholar member, and bi- weekly group meetings.
Lead and point of contact for the Black Student Union Graduation. Duties include: Contacting interested participants, monthly meeting with BSU graduation team, providing graduation information, providing materials necessary for graduation ceremony.
Daily duties include, but not limited to: contacting parents of at-risk youth, contacting students at-risk of not meeting A-G requirements for graduation, providing information for parent events (finger printing, powerschool information, school/district-wide events, parent meetings, school-wide parent meetings), and ensuring the upkeep of Pinole Valley High Schools culture and climate.
Monitoring student tardiness alongside Kennedy High School's Attendance Clerk. Duties include, but not limited to: daily check-ins with students who are frequently tardy, daily calls home to parents of students with frequent tardiness, promissory notes of families at risk of truancy, monthly check-ins with updated progression.
