I began my career in education in
Evanston, WY in 1992 as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving three schools. After two years at this location, and the simultaneous
completion of my Masters of Education, my family and I moved to Torrington, WY.
There, I worked as a school district SLP
and also, as an EMT for the county ambulance service at night and on
weekends. After six years in Torrington,
I sought and found employment with Albany County School District as a
Speech-Language Pathologist and remained in this position for nine years. At the beginning of my tenth year with the
district, I accepted a request from the Director of Special Education to move
to the position of Special Education Case Manager.
